Third to the Last

       As I continue to study about our lessons in ICT, I am surprised because of the knowledge I learn although I am studying for almost a hundred percent of my time being here.

As I think of words I type, I was wondering what else I have learned this grading period. Well what was so special this time is that we have one of the great practice teachers the whole quarter.

Together with our subject teacher, she thought us how to make our HTML documents more presentable, eye-catchy and more interesting. She let us know the formulas in inserting font and tag attributes for the betterment of our documents. She has been a very good mentor, a hero as well, by the way, she is Manang Melany Almo Queyquep, (search mo nalang sa facebook J) a great friend of mine.

For the past grading, I have encountered much difficulties, but this time, I became more comfortable because both of my teachers, Maam Evelyn and Maam Melany, were so fun to be with. I just wish I could be more responsible every time they require us something.

Moving on, I will be more focus in my studies not just in ICT. I know more challenges are about to come and I hope I am ready enough for these. J

Upholding English Proficiency for Competitive Competence

We have gifted with language which we can use in order for us to understand each other whenever and wherever. So let us not just take it for granted, let us treasure it for it is the best thing happened in the history of humans, to have our own way of communicating with one another.

All over the world, Filipinos were recognized because we are known to be one of the races who are very fluent in English. That is why we should cherish it and be good onto it. This will destine us to a successful future because it will help us a lot to attain a good life.

We can use English anywhere, even outside our own motherland. English is the universal language so we should understand its importance. If we are fluent enough, we are sure enough for the success of our lives in the upcoming prospect.

SCIENTRICITY: Energizing Science Clubbers for Sustainable Energy

          Energy is the main source for the healthy and wealthy living of the people all over the world. That is why we need to conserve energy until our very best so that there will be no problems that we are going to encounter in the future.

        People cant live without much energy, especially electricity. Well practically, people can live without this but we are here breathing for the betterment of the world and the future. I order to attain the best life of the present people and the future people, we should cooperate on the conservation of energy. We will be able to achieve the paramount of a good life if we are united in doing what should be done, and that is to preserve energy.

        Everyone is encourage to participate in conserving energy. If we are united in doing this, the world will be transformed to a wonderful place for living.

My Teacher, My Hero

I am a son, I have my own family to cherish my life with, and I am blessed with friends and people I can share my experiences everyday. But still, I would never be as wise as I am without the wisdom given to me by the persons who serve as my parents outside my home, my teachers, my heroes.

I can say that almost 80% of my time living, I have been with them. When I am in school, they are always there to correct what is wrong with my actions. I am very thankful that God has given me people like them whom I can treasure forever. That is why although they are not the real beings with superpowers, I will always idolize them because of their good influences and knowledge.

Students and parents must always thank the people who let us cross the best road for the success of our future. Without them, maybe there will be no responsible humans nowadays. Maybe the whole world is suffering now from big problems that no one can never explain and end. So let us recognize them for they have touch our lives that transforms us to our bests.#

My Modern Hero

   When I was young, younger than how you think how young I am, I absolutely fell in love with superheroes. Superheroes that fly, with strong arms that can break even the hardest stones, with super powers like lightning and whatever. But as I grew, I realize that this fantasy, believing in false reality, are just for kids.

    My mind now was filled with real things. But I can't achieve having these on my mind without the help of the people around me especially my biological family and teachers. Teachers stand as one of my inspirations as I explore the beauty of life. They made me know the things that maybe until now, I don't even know. But they became not just my teachers in school, but the persons who saved me from being stuck on the world of nothing.

     Everyone expects something big and successful future on me. That's why I am doing the best that I can just not to make failures and attain my very goals. With the aid of my teachers, my modern heroes, I will do it and I can do it. Just like the other students like me, I'm going to prove that I can pay back the sacrifices that have done by my teachers. Sleeping late just to finish our lesson plans, giving all of their efforts just to share the things they know. Because without them, maybe I'm no but an uneducated and out of this world youngster.

"Tatag ng Wikang Filipino, Lakas ng Pagka-Pilipino"

As we celebrate the “Buwan ng Wika”, we are also rejoicing the annual happiness since that this month symbolizes the significance of our Filipino language. Being a true and loyal citizen of the Philippines, we revel this momentous August with the theme, “Tatag ng Wikang Filipino, Lakas ng Pagka-Pilipino.”

Our dialect as Filipinos indicates what we are and who we are. Ours is very different from other nations outside our zone of obligations. If we say different, we mean “poles apart”. We are the only people with this kind of manner of speaking. And we should be very pleased that God has given us this treasure to be delighted from, that we could use as the best weapon if someone makes us down.

Philippines stands as a country that lacks on experience, intelligence despite of having the richest countryside and wildlife. Folks don’t know how to apply this wealth to have the most comfortable life we could ever have. The only hope in becoming what we dream of in the coming years is to be the best citizen and servant of our own beloved country.

Brave fellowmen of the past fought for us to have our own way of communication. Manuel L. Quezon, the one we could consider as our very father, is the one who declared Filipino our own. Now that we have achieved what they wanted before, we should face the duties we are tasked to come across with in order for the next coming generations to be involved with this life- the life no one outside the walls of the Pearl of the Orient Seas could ever understand.

We are one. We are unique, exceptional. We have everything and we can never ask for anything. We just have to take care of the cycle our forefathers have started. 

First of Last

I have learned a lot since I’ve been studying but still, I happen to bump with series of discoveries and new learning. And as I stop from running, I often observe differences from being like this to like that.

I’m a teenager but before pondering ICT, I am not that good in surfing the net. And as a product of this consideration, I became more knowledgeable about this kind of stuff.

During my 3^rd Year High School life, I expected too much. I mean, I was having difficulties last year. So, I thought that my last year at Ilocos Sur National High School would be more unmanageable. But I believe that this school year has lesser pressures. Well, I just can say this because this is just the start, and I can’t pretend that I have already encountered much embarrassments. Studying ICT requires me to be more of what a teen is. Addicted to computers, Internet, and other technological discourses. And it’s been hard for me to cope up with these.

To be obsessively addicted to computer software is not the only way for me to fit and surpass these challenges. I listened to my teacher every time she discusses and I think that’s enough to have the perfect knowledge needed to survive from these stimulating works or problems. I also inquire from my understanding classmates. That’s what I’ve done and going to do for the upcoming periods.

Moving on, I will be more responsible with my studies and requirements. Unlike now, I was just doing this in last minute rush. I promise I’d be more punctual in doing these.

       

SONA for the "BOSSES"

Every president of every respected country must report his on-going projects and plans together with his significant achievements. This is a part of his duty as the leader of an institution, to inform his men that he had already started making the way to success.

Last July 23, 2012, Philippine President Benigno Simeon Cojuanco Aquino III delivered his 3^rd State of the Nation Address at the Batasan Pambansa Complex, Quezon City, to his bosses. Many of his projects and proposals according to him have already been approved and most of them were successfully implemented. He proudly said that the government has already paved the way to progress and this will continue until the Pearl of the Orient Seas reach the very apex. He included in his SONA the significant things that he and his company had done for us to escape from being tucked with poverty and corruption. One of these is the controversial impeachment of the Former Chief Justice Renato Corona. Another is the successful implementation of the K-12 Education Program in which the First Year High School Students of this school year will be affected. He added that this program will help our country diminish the number of unlearned Filipinos. But I am not really sure if he is very sure about that. I don’t think he had thought that this will instead multiply the number of uneducated persons because families would find this harder to budget their income. This will just let them decide that their children will no longer study because it will just increase their expenses. I don’t think that’s a good idea Mr. President.
    Some consider this latest SONA as the best of all. But for me, nothing was the best, nothing happened. Well something happened, but, where are the extracted products of these? I cannot feel the essence of his speech. Yes, yes, I do appreciate what he had already contributed but it is just not enough especially that he is already in the middle of his career. If that is the fastest he can do, then progress will never meet us.

Inside-System Business

Some of us were born lucky, some were not financially. That is maybe the reason why most of the population usually got sick because of improper intake of food or can’t even eat three times a day. That is the time when malnutrition occurs.

          In connection to the July’s Nutrition Month Celebration with the theme “Pagkain ng Gulay Ugaliin, Araw-Araw Itong Ihain”, Ilocos Sur National High School conducts various activities to promote better health for everyone.  Interested students from school are invited to join these activities in order for them to have more of the knowledge needed to determine the proper way of eating foods for a brighter future. These activities include public speaking, poster-making, food fest and cook fest, and other health-related contests.

          A person must always include vegetables in his everyday meal. This could help his body complete the nutrients needed for longer survival. The vitamins and the minerals that these vegetables could also give will contribute for him not to catch different kinds of diseases that can be gotten if these will not travel in our body every day. If a person especially a kid will not even have a cup of vegetables every meal, his body resistance could easily weakens every time he performs lots of fitness activities. These must be considered to have a successful health and life.

          Teens like us should never ignore our health. Even though you are wealthy if you don’t have beautiful body figure inside and out, money is useless. As they say, “Health is Wealth”, and we should treat our inside system the way we treat our physical ones. In my own perspective in life, health is not just only the wealth; health is the business to achieve the best life we could ever have.

Dear Mr. President,

    Salutations!

             

   Philippines is still starving for the sweet taste of progression. I know your administration never stop trying different kinds of delicious menus from other countries all over the Earth. But still, the Pearl stands with extreme hunger and it seem that fullness will never meet its vast stomach.

              

    You've been sitting on the highest chair of the Republic of the Philippines for almost two years, and with honesty and truthfulness, you know I’ve been planning to meet you personally someday. But writing this letter for you Mr. President really is a very great privilege and opportunity for me to say my insights about your achievements.

            

    It’s very obvious that the position you have has the most sensitive obligations towards the abundance of resources and wealth of our country. I believe that you’ve been doing the responsibilities you have caught from the past administration which failed us all. And as a gift for being what you had told us in your first SONA, I salute you because I can see you’re trying the best in you although it’s really insane sitting on that kind of royal seat. Just don’t focus on your love life for now. Concentrate on the life of the Filipino people. I am assuring you that we are all together in facing the challenges we are currently and about to encounter. You are not the only one trying to make this institution a better place for living. Thanks you and keep your work very high!
